Deception is a common factor that is displayed throughout everyone’s life. Most of us may not see it or even realize that it is happening to us but it is occurring whether we like it or not. When you hear the word “deception”, what do you think of? When I hear this word I think of a form of trickery or lies that are made up to make you believe you are happy or fulfilled, but in reality, you are not.
Everyone has examples in their life in which they have been deceived. Some may be big and some may be very small, but no matter what, these deceptions are distracting us from the main importance in our lives, which is God. Some may say that they need certain things such as wealth, nice apparel or a personal status within society to be happy but those materials and statuses won’t last with you forever. They will not be with you throughout eternity like God will. God has created you and sent His own Son to die for your sins. If you ever feel empty or alone, don’t look for basic materials or statuses that you think will make you happy. Look to God.
God will always be there for you through thick and thin. He created you and He loves you. He will never stop loving you. Only God can bring you true happiness. He will fulfill you with His loving grace and power. If you are ever in doubt or in need of His grace, call to God, ask Him to help you. There will never be a time where God will not help you or create benefits to your doubts. God loves you. He is the source for true happiness.
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. –Romans 12:2
